Limanagzi: We Walk, We Swim, We Rest
When turning your back to the Atatürk statue at the square, on the opposite left side of the coast you will see calm, quite bay Limanagzi where you can reach by the boats from Kas port or by walking through Lycian way.
If you prefer boat, it takes approximately 15-20 minutes and takes off every half an hour. There are three options at Limanagzi bay; these are Bilal’in Yeri, Delos Beach and Nuri’s Beach. You can step off any of them. Because Limanağzı’s sea is warmer and still compared to Kas, it’s in demand by families.
Now let us tell you how to reach Limanağzı from Lycian way 🙂
You will see a Limanağzı signboard in front of the Meis Head Office at the square. In total walking 3 km, first you need to pass Büyükçakıl beach. If you wish you can have a swimming break in here. After that, when you reach the Büyükçakıl neighborhood make sure you follow red-white lines at the path. This track is a little bit bumpy and stony. For that reason, it won’t force you too much. While you get closer to the bay, stop for photo shooting because the view is deserved to be shooting. Finally, there is road going down which has a rope to hold. At this point, a few rock graves welcome you. After passing that road, there you go, mission accomplished. Eventually, sunbeds, restaurants and accommodation places are waiting for you… You can spend your day canoeing, swimming with caretta carettas or resting at Limanağzı. As you wish. 🙂
